Accurate country outlines

All the World Map cartographic elements have a perfect accuracy level on the global and country level. The level of detail is selected to assure both fast operational speed on the global view and fast loading speed.

Our map uses compromise projection balancing the distortion between the shape of the continents and directions (north, south, east, west).

Every country on the World Flash Map has shape and outline objects, in order to adjust color gamma and other options externally.

It is possible to fade out countries you do not need to show on the map by making them non clickable. A list of active countries is always shown as a tab bar for better usability.

Dynamic Regions

World Map in Flash has the following architecture: the Global view and the Regional view (each region may include one or more countries). All regional settings (mouse over color, hint, on click event, and a list of countries) are specified in the editable XML file. In such a way the administrator can make each country a separate district, group countries by continents, or disable regions at all.

A site visitor will see only a list of countries inside a certain region if it is zoomed in.

Setting Locations

Easily set multiple locations on the World Map in Flash and specify group, icon widget, action, mouse over hint, certain region a location belongs to, and other parameters in external XML files. Show aspatial data on your map specifying it in the same external XML files

Absolute accuracy is applied to represent geographic locations on our map. Using x/y converter for long/lat coordinates on a Mercator projection map allows map administrators to set any type and number of locations: world capitals, company offices, company partners, or a number of locations with statistic numbers using GPS coordinates. Edge matching verification process is employed to guarantee exceptional precision for location plotting in respect to other objects on the map.

A list of active locations is shown in a Locations tab for their better identification on the map.

Dynamic Legends

You can group locations into a number of categories. Legend Builder component is developed to allow users filter locations by type (venue events, business categories etc) making dimmed selections just while browsing, in order to analyze locations of a certain type.
